The Doo Wop iphone app was created by Organqic Music and Gamerholix, this website was commissioned to be produced as part of the launch of the application. The Doo Wop game has a very illustrative style and a large number of fun characters were created for the app, along with a few backgrounds which are featured in the game. This style has been extended and developed into the website and gives an overview into this quirky and addictive app. As further versions of the app are developed the style of the site will change, so check back for further developments and try downloading the game to see for yourself.
Craig Harrison is a bass player, bass tutor and a audio producer. He required a promotional website to advertise his skills, but also to point people in the right direction for further information. The requirements allowed for much creativity; it had to be simple and modern, with a collective style which would look good for all three areas that he wanted to promote. After designing the logos with three muted colour variations, I went down the route of having a different colour for each section, all placed upon a dark grey. The logo designs were based upon the VU meter on an audio mixing desk, and this theme was continued subtly throughout the site, as I incorporated it into the background. I produced three bold black illustrations, which change with each section of the site. These stand out strongly against the muted tones and visuals of the rest of the site.
The Filey Festival has been an annual event for generations, and in its heyday it was something that the whole seaside town looked forward to, as well as a big tourist attraction. However, over the years most of the interest had been lost. In 2007 the Filey Festival committee wanted to revive the event to its former glory, with an all out, 10 day festival for the whole family; this change required a new look. A website was needed in two parts; first was an elaborate holding page with festival news updates and a countdown to when the festival brochure would be on sale. When the brochure was released so too was the main website, providing diary dates, line-up information and location details.
