This logo was conceived to promote Jon Scully as a professional trumpet player and teacher. The logo has been used for a promotional website and business cards. As the target market are weddings, funerals and corporate events the logo needed to show and high class and be equally appropriate for happy and sad occasions.
This logo was produced as part of the branding of the the seven piece function band Kabuki. I design the logo to look like a sticker which fits in with the band feel, the colours within the logo are quite dark with the high contrasting yellow, this work well with images of the band as the stages are often dark with bright display lighting.
I used earthy tones within the Awaken Adventure logo to give a feel of getting back to nature. Using bold graphic illustration within the design makes the logo clear and striking, it also allows for the imagery and colours to be changed to fit other section of the company and still keep the brand recognition.
When designing the Fudge Shop logo I wanted to give it a retro feel, the shop it a traditional style sweet shop so I used a bold sketchy style. The logo was also designed so it could be printed on brown card-like paper, which adds to the old-fashioned feel. The brown card style has also been used in the design of the business cards and on the website.
The Clear Set logo needed to be extremely crisp and clear, as a printing company the the crisp quality of their work should be shown through their branding. I wanted to keep the logo very simple, but also incorporate the printing colours of cyan, magenta, yellow and black to define them instantly as a printing company.
I produced this logo as part of a personal project, which was developed from one of my illustrations. As I intended to produce a website concept, I thought it would also be an ideal opportunity to produce a complete identity for the project. I wanted the logo to be very simple and instantly recognisable as a car share scheme. I added the text 'car share' into the logo, but also intended for the car to be used on its own, if the right situation should arise.
Craig Harrison is a bass player, bass tutor and a audio producer. He required a visual identity to promote his skills, and to display on literature and a website. He wanted three individual identities for each skill area, but all three needed to be linked in their theme. I also suggested that he have a fourth logo which displays all three areas. The brief was quite open ended, but one requirement was that the logo needed to work well in black and white as it would often be printed on the header of sheet music. I wanted to steer clear of any obvious clichès regarding music, and settled on a graphic based on the concept of a VU meter on a mixing desk. For the logo variations I added a hint of different colour for each, which means the logo would still display correctly in black and white.
I created the saffron logo for an illustrator who wanted to create their own visual identity. The logo was developed by working on a hand-drawn version of the word and producing a stylised text based logo. The colours were carefully selected around a earthy red saffron tone, with a natural looking green as well as golds to highlight different areas of the logo.
The Curl logo was produced for a electronica facade of the musician, Craig Harrison. The 'curl' text was simply based on a number of circular shapes to give it a very round feel, and the logo introduces a symbol character wearing headphones. Both elements within the logo are designed to work together or separately where necessary. The main colour within this logo is a vibrant orange, but this has been designed to be replaced with other bold flat colours to add variation.
